In May '99 Jan Lietaer made a transat with the sailing boat Côte d'Or. Here you can see some pictures of this event
This 83 foot top rigged racer, built
of kevlar and carbon, was built for the Whitbread Round The World project of
Cote d'Or and designed by the bureau of Joubert Nivelt. Eric Tabarly was
skipper during the race with this ultra fast ship : 10 knots at sharp courses
and surfs of 23 knots with broad courses are no exception.
